Dr. James Heffernan

Dr. James Heffernan is an Assistant Professor of Ecosystem Ecology and Ecohydrology, and Chair of the Water Resources Management Program at the Nicholas School of Environment, Duke University. Dr. Heffernan research focuses on the major changes in ecosystem structure, particularly in streams, rivers and wetlands. He is particularly interested on feedbacks among ecological, physical, and biogeochemical processes, and uses a wide range of tools and approaches.
