Dr. Ángel A. García Jr. is Assistant Professor at the Department of Geology and Environmental Science at James Madison University and serves as a member-at-large in the Diversity in the Geosciences committee of the Geological Society of America. Dr. García is passionate about ethnogeology – study of human relationships with the Earth as a system, paleoclimate records as recorded in speleothems, education, and science communication. His multidisciplinary work offers a culturally-framed perspective on natural processes and how we see the world.
